The Animal Lovers Assistance League, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization which has been recognized at both the state and local level for its work on behalf of helping animals, including : Recipient of the Governor's Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service in North Carolina; Twice was Recipient of the Award for Outstanding Non-Profit Organization of the Year in Currituck County; President Recipient of Governor's Medallion Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service in North Carolina; Recipient twice of the Greg Shuk Exemplary Service Award for Dedicated Service to Citizens of Currituck County.

Mission Statement:
To offer refuge, medical care and a second chance to needy animals in our community; to protect animals from cruelty, to foster a public sentiment of humanity towards all living creatures and to reduce over-population of animals through education and spay/ neuter advocacy.

Foster care givers- We provide pet food and veterinary care. You receive love, a wet nose, a friendly paw, and the indescribably satisfying feeling of knowing that you have helped save a life.
